Executive Golf offers you the opportunity to play the Algarve’s finest golf courses.
Oceanico courses include The Old Course, The Victoria, The Faldo and The O’Connor. Each of these present the golfer with a different challenge and all offer a fantastic experience. The Old Course was built in 1969 making it the Algarve’s second oldest golf course. The Victoria is the current home to The Portuguese Masters so offers the chance to follow in the footsteps of some of the world’s best golfers. The Faldo and O’Connor are fantastic modern designs offering a variety of challenging holes. Whichever Oceanico course you choose, we’re sure you will love your experience.
The Royal Course and The Ocean Course feature rolling fairways set amidst pine trees and beautiful lakes surrounded by wild flowers . The Royal’s features include the almost island green of the 9th and the famous 16th, with cliff-top carryover - one of the most celebrated golfing images in the world, which has become the veritable symbol of golf in the Algarve. The picturesque views from the Ocean course make for an inspiring and challenging day’s golf on perfect greens and fast sloping fairways.
Monte Rei has sought out the best names from around the globe to head every individual element of this impressive estate with Jack Nicklaus designing his first of two “Signature” Golf Courses in Portugal. Highly qualified and internationally experienced personnel ensure the highest quality playing surfaces and service. The team has succeeded in producing some fantastic and challenging holes. The experience of playing at Monte Rei is truly world class and the service offered by the staff has brought many compliments from our clients.
The fabulous 27-hole golf area, designed by architect Donald Steel, occupies a valley sculptured by nature and is divided into three loops of 9 offering different levels of difficulty and challenge.
The course staged the Portugal Open (in 1992 and 1993), and its value was recognised in 1996 with the award by Green Globe of the Green Flag and the Best Golf Development award in 2001.
Within the natural amphitheatre of the Bay of Lagos, Robert Trent Jones II has fashioned one of Europe’s great golf courses, Onyria Palmares Golf. The golf course has breathtaking natural beauty which is a delight to play. The tee boxes are some of the best we’ve ever seen and are a real feature of the course and a sign of its quality. The course opened 18 holes for play in October 2010 and the full 27 in June 2011. It has matured nicely with each nine offering a different challenge and playing experience for golfers of all abilities.
San Lorenzo Golf Course takes advantage of wonderful topography on the Quinta do Lago estate, winding its way gently over undulating pine woodland. The 18 holes lie in the unspoilt Southeast corner of Quinta do Lago, bordering the Ria Formosa Estuary and salt water lagoons. This course is a real gem and along with Quinta do Lago South is the favourite of Craig our Director of Golf.
Quinta South is a favourite of many of the Executive Golf PGA professionals due to its succession of fantastic golf holes and relaxed, enjoyable setting. The course offers a challenge but still gives the opportunity to score well with straight hitting and confident putting. Laranjal was recently voted Portugal’s best course and many would find it hard to argue. This golfing experience is the venue for the opening round of the Executive Golf Pro Am 2015 and our clients love it. The course is set amongst the original orange groves and features wide fairways and large fast sloping greens which can make a two putt a real challenge were you to end up on the wrong part of the green. The North Course is the newest addition to Quinta do Lago’s five-star golf facilities, the totally revamped course was one of the most talked about golf projects in 2014 and is set to be one of the new stars of European golf and the new number one course at Quinta do Lago.
"What an amazing experience. If you want plenty of top quality golf and coaching and indulgence, this was it. I went out as an 18 handicapper and have since been cut twice, now down to 13 and not finished yet! And I won my club President's cup a month after I came home which was brilliant!"
